Whatever age of vehicle you drive, make sure your engine and fuel system are fully protected with the Valvemaster range of fuel additives - the best protection for your engine:
Leaded petrol was banned in the UK in 2000, having been phased out since the 1980s. Tetraethyl lead had been added to petrol since the early 1920s, to prevent valve and valve seat wear as well as enable engines to use a higher compression ratio - improving power and efficiency.
The introduction of catalytic converters, which require unleaded petrol, started the move away from lead. Later came the addition of ethanol to fuel, and in 2021 10% ethanol became standard in 95ron petrol.
The Valvemaster range of fuel additives provide the solution; whatever the age of your classic vehicle, there is a Valvemaster product that will protect and ensure optimum performance from your petrol. To prevent valve seat recession, or to provide protection against ethanol damage, Valvemaster offers the best protection for your engine.
